Steel Plate Blasting and Priming
Automated blast cleaning and inorganic zinc preconstruction priming in one continuous pass. Plate leaves the line fabrication ready.

Automated Plate Line
Our Donora facility runs an automated plate preservation line that blasts and primes in one continuous pass. Plate comes off the line with the anchor profile the primer needs and immediate corrosion protection for storage and downstream work.
The line runs
- Automated abrasive blast cleaning
- Inorganic zinc preconstruction primer
- Single continuous pass
- Vacuum lift plate handling

Why Prime Before Fabrication
Blasted steel starts rusting the moment it leaves the machine. Preconstruction primer holds the prepared surface through storage and processing, and it takes plasma cutting, bending, rolling, and welding without coming off.
Plate we run
- Bridge and structural plate
- Tank and vessel plate
- Heavy fabrication material
- Shipbuilding and barge plate
- Industrial equipment plate

Blasting, priming, cutting, welding, coating, rail access, and flatbed trucking all run out of the Donora operation, so plate does not have to leave to get to the next step.
