BUILT FOR INDUSTRIAL STEEL

THE FOUNDATION OF A DURABLE COATING SYSTEM

SURFACE PREPARATION THAT PERFORMS

Industrial abrasive blasting removes corrosion, mill scale, existing coatings and other surface contaminants while producing the profile required for coating adhesion. The result is a clean, prepared substrate ready for the specified protective system.

Structural steel
Bridge components
Industrial fabrications
Complex steel assemblies

The required blast standard and surface profile are coordinated with the project specification and the coating system that follows.

SPECIFIED CLEANLINESS LEVELS

BLAST CLEANING STANDARDS

Preparation is performed to the cleanliness level required by the project specification. These commonly specified standards define how thoroughly visible contaminants must be removed.

SSPC-SP 5 / NACE No. 1

White Metal Blast

Complete removal of visible oil, grease, dust, dirt, mill scale, rust, coating and foreign matter.

SSPC-SP 10 / NACE No. 2

Near-White Metal Blast

A high-performance surface preparation standard allowing only limited staining on each unit area.

SSPC-SP 6 / NACE No. 3

Commercial Blast

Removal of visible contaminants with a controlled allowance for light shadows, streaks and staining.

SSPC-SP 7 / NACE No. 4

Brush-Off Blast

A light blast cleaning that removes loose material while leaving tightly adherent mill scale and coating.

A CONTROLLED WORKFLOW

FROM SPECIFICATION TO PREPARED STEEL

Surface preparation is planned as part of the complete coating system, not treated as an isolated step.

01

Define the Requirement

We align surface cleanliness and profile requirements with the specified protective coating system.

02

Prepare the Surface

Abrasive blasting removes corrosion, mill scale and existing coatings from industrial steel.

03

Verify the Result

The prepared surface is checked for cleanliness and profile before the next coating step begins.
