What gives a shop operation such an advantage?

A good shop can control the atmospheric conditions.
Steel can be abrasive blasted without the worry of flash rust.
Painting can be done at an optimum controlled temperature to assure good coverage and adhesion, and also to achieve the desired cure at a specific time.
Weather is eliminated as a factor in the painting decisions, and production is greatly increased.

Inspections can be done in the field but the cost of doing it is significant. NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) certified inspector checks and records his findings at every step of the painting process.

Shop painting saves money by not having to change for all of the activities needed to perform the same job in the field.
Environmental protection is less expensive for work done in our shop.
Once erected, some parts of steel structures are completely inaccessible for painting but not for corrosion.
