Environmentally Friendly Operation

Regal Industrial Corporation has taken many steps over the last decade to find solutions and alternatives that provide an environmentally friendly workplace and product. First, we began daily monitoring of our usage and output of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) in 1998 and have continued this practice without interruption. Additionally, we compile our output of Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAP's) and prepare an annual report. Through careful monitoring, we have managed to lower our average output of both VOC’s and HAP’s while achieving tremendous growth and expansion of the company. This is made possible through the use of high solids coatings, water based paints, specialized equipment such as electrostatic spray guns and plural component pumps, and Thermal Spray Coatings (Metallizing). We have made a commitment to only use coatings and equipment that meet certain criteria regardless of their price and it has made us a leader in the industry.

In addition to the changes made in our paints and coatings, we have also implemented the use of recyclable steel grit and shot in our blast rooms as well as in our automated wheel blast machine. The use of the recyclable grit eliminated the waste caused by other sandblasting abrasives that provide only a single use. Our steel abrasives are returned to a metals recycling facility after they have maximized their life cycle and are then used in another process. Normally blast abrasives are used only once and then the waste is sent to a landfill. We have eliminated this wasteful practice and it has turned out to be better for our company and the environment.

Regal Industrial also supports many industry groups that promote clean energy solutions. This includes the American Wind Energy Association, the Nuclear Power industry, FORCE Clean Coal Solutions, and the local Oil and Gas Exploration industry.
